Hello Google Cloud Platform Customer,
We’re writing to remind you that billing in your local currency, South Korean won (KRW), is now available. If you have not already done so, please migrate your accounts to Google Cloud Korea LLC and KRW payments. Your Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources will not be affected by this migration, and will continue to run as usual. Non-migrated accounts will be terminated within the next year.
What do I need to do?
Your GCP billing account(s) should already be migrated to Google Cloud Korea LLC and KRW payments. If you have not already done so, take a few minutes to migrate your GCP billing accounts, including any free tier or free trial accounts, to local currency payments. You must do so to access the new region, and to avoid future termination to your account.
To migrate your accounts, click on your GCP billing account(s) listed below and follow the instructions in your GCP console. If you’re a registered business for tax purposes, you'll need to have your business registration number and related tax information ready:
What do I need to know?
When you migrate your GCP billing accounts:
- The contracting party of your GCP, Google Maps Platform services, and Professional Services, if applicable, will change to Google Cloud Korea LLC as a reseller (with offices located at Gangnam Finance Center 20fl., 152 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul).
- The currency of your account will change to South Korean won (KRW). Your pricing will not increase.
- Google Asia Pacific Pte Ltd will assign and transfer your Google Cloud Platform License Agreement and your Google Maps Platform License Agreement, if applicable, to Google Cloud Korea LLC, as Google Asia Pacific’s reseller. Your account information, including your email address and other contact information associated with it, will be transferred to Google Cloud Korea LLC.
- Google Cloud Korea LLC will issue your invoices.
- In accordance with local laws, these invoices will be subject to VAT.
